mot-muž , a.k.a. mot-man ... stems from the original first series of mot designs which humorously and satirically depicted male gender and male monsters as a central theme. mot-muž is a continuation of the same but with slightly more serious focus limited solely to the male muse. ('man', translated in slovokia: muž)
this early mot design, missing link, represent a bridge or ‘link’ to the future... it's not about the traditional quest to discover the missing link with primitive ancestors, but more a focus on the christ figure as being the 'true missing link' that matters today, tomorrow and into the future. the red spikes on the head suggest the crown of thorns christ wore at his crucifixion.
The 'elephant man' design, by artist mot, is a cross blend both the tragic life of John Merrick, made popular by the freakish animal/human portrayal in David Lynch's classic black & white film, The Elephant Man', ... Combined together with the late pop star, Michael Jackson, who reportedly once wanted to buy and own the Elephant Man's bones... Both bizarre side show stories running parallel in their own way.
joshua - inspired by the u2 album, joshua tree...
whereupon the band members came to american dressed up as cowboys for a western photoshoot.
another ingredient in the mix is the artist mot's love for cartoons, in particular his favorite, the road runner and coyote show, set against a spacious western vista.
